Over the weekend of Saturday 20th & Sunday 21st December 2025 England Kabaddi Federation (UK) organised a meeting of Federations and Associations of Circle Style Kabaddi based in England, India, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Holland, Germany, France, Norway and all other European Countries.
The meeting was held at the offices of Stanmore Contractors Limited which is a Construction Company owned by Manak Family.
All attending in person were provided with Transportation, Accommodation and other Hospitalities as required. The cost of Transportation, Accommodation and Hospitality was shared by Manak Family and the EKF.
In order to provide a Central Platform for Promotion and Developments of Circle Style Kabaddi in the World the following decisions were reached after extensive and vigorous but very Friendly and Amenable Debates:-
1. All agreed that for 12 months from 1st January 2026 to 31st December 2026 Kabaddi will be suspended in its entirety save that:-
1. Punjab Kabaddi Academies Association will suspend Kabaddi in India from 1st May 2026 to 31st December 2026
2. Major League Kabaddi will suspend Kabaddi in India from 1st May 2026 to 31st December 2026.
2.The purpose of Suspension is to carry out a Re-boot of the Kabaddi World and start afresh in 2027 having organised the game of Kabaddi under the umbrella of one International Body. With a view to achieving above all agreed that a new body under the name of “Federation of International Kabaddi Federations & Associations” (FIKFA) be created4. The structure of FIKFA will be as follows:-
1. There will be no President or any other such titles given to FIKFA officials
2. FIKFA will be managed by the Board which will consist of 3 representatives from each affiliated body
3. The Board will appoint sub-committees of 3-5 individuals to deal with individual tasks
4. The Board Term will be 5 years
5. During the Board Term each affiliated body may change maximum of 1 of their representatives during any one calendar year.
6. First Board Term will run from 01/01/2027 to 31/12/2031.
7.Membership of FIKFA is open to all organisations throughout the world that are involved in promotion of Circle Style Kabaddi
8. In order to formalise the setting up of FIKFA Mr Surinder Singh Manak (SSM) is authorised to proceed with the following:-
1. Commence preparation of the Constitution so that the first draft is ready for consideration by no later than 31st March 2026
2. Engage Accountants to register FIKFA as a Limited Company by Guarantee at Companies House in England
3. Open FIKFA Bank Account
4. Register the Domain Name of www.fikfa.com
5. Engage Web Developer or another such qualified person to commence preparation of FIKFA Website
6. Engage a Graphic Designer or another such qualified person to commence preparation of the FIKFA Logo
7. Register the FIKFA Logo as an International Trade Mark
8. Prepare Player Contract Template
9. Prepare Player Contract Release Form
10. Prepare following policies in order to comply with Statutory Obligations:-
i. Disciplinary and the Resolution of Disputes Policy
ii. Anti Discrimination Policy
iii. Health & Safety Policy
iv. Data Protection Policy
v. Anti Money Laundering Policy
vi. Etc etc etc
11. The next FIKFA meeting will be on 2nd & 3rd May 2026
12. The details of venue of next meeting will follow shortly. The Canadians & European’s expressed an interest and agreed that they will confirm by no later than 31/01/2026.
13. All present signed the Memorandum of Understanding in the form attached.
We sincerely hope that this heartfelt endeavour taken by the EKF is the start of a new Era in the World of Kabaddi whereby this small step will be a big step towards bringing the Sport of Kabaddi into the mainstream and eventually into Olympics which is the equivalent of “Holly Grail” to all Kabaddi Lovers in the World.
